AR Contracting Services Pty Ltd is a South Australian based company established in 2003. Directors Michael Rowe and Roger Ashby have a combined 70 year association with the earthmoving and civil engineering construction industry and offer a wide experience in a variety of civil construction projects. AR Contracting provides services to engineering and project management consultants, private developers and State and Local Government Authorities. Projects carried out include land development infrastructure including all the associated earthworks, all underground services, road construction and site finishing works; Council roadworks and stormwater drainage, both new works and upgrades; carpark construction and upgrades; sewer, STEDS, potable and recycled water reticulation systems; coastal projects including sand replenishment, sandbag groynes and rock revetments, both new and repairs to existing. Other works within the range of experience of our Directors and Site Supervisors include bulk earthworks projects, major drainage channel construction and pipeline construction.

Site supervision of projects is carried out by eight experienced site supervisors and four capable leading hands. By using our own equipment and carefully utilizing selected owner operators, plant hire companies and specialist contractors we are well placed to carry out a wide range of projects throughout South Australia. For contracts in regional areas we always aim to utilise local resources whenever practical and to support the local community as best we can.

Our team for the Ocean Eyre Development will be headed up by Roger Ashby, our Construction Director, who will act as Project Manager and visit the site regularly. Our Site Supervisor will be Terry Smith. Terry will take up residence in Whyalla and will be on site full time. Supporting Terry will be Foreman, Darryl Thompson and Leading Hand, Mark Southwell. These are the core of our initial team and we expect to have up to 20 personal on site when production peaks.
